Padres Lose 5-4
On Sunday afternoon the Padres lost 5-4 in front of another sellout crowd. Adrian Gonzalez had a home run for the Padres, Edgar had an RBI triple, and Brian Giles had an RBI- groundout to summarize the scoring. For the Phillies, Raul Ibanez hit a walk-off home run in the 9th, Jimmy Rollins hit a home run in thew 8th, and Chase Utley hit a two- run homer in the 7th. The Game on Monday was rained out, and a makeup date was not announced. The Padres resume play Tuesday against the Giants. There was some bad news. Everth Cabrera broke his hand while batting in the 6th inning on Sunday’s game, and will miss 6-8 weeks.
