Countdown to Opening Day: 19 Days
OK, so I’ve decided to countdown to Opening Day on my blog, and it is really hard to believe that it is just 19 days until the Padres play their st game of the season on the road versus the Arizona Diamondbacks. I can’t wait, it’s gonna be a season filled with excitement, you and i can be sure of that.
So now, getting down to business. The Friars are 4-9 in Spring Training. Big deal. Lol it doesn’t really matter. In fact, the Phillies had a 13-19 record in Spring Training last year- and look how they ended up- as NL Champs. In fact, even the Angels (3-8), Pirates (4-8), Rangers (4-8), and Orioles (5-8) have similar records as the Padres. So nothing to worry about. They are just getting their timing down and adjusting to playing ball everyday again.
I really wish that I could’ve tried to sign up earlier to play some senior league baseball at my local little league, but the teams have already been set up and I wasn’t able to get a spot because I waited too long to try and sign up… oh well. I’ll play in the summer. In the meantime, I think i’m gonna play in a basketball league with some of my friends, so that will be fun. (photo courtesy of fsdb.k12.fl.us)
Padres play today versus the KC Royals at 1:05 PM PT. Clayton Richard and Sean Gallagher are scheduled to pitch today. Also, the OKC Thunder play at 4 PM PT versus the Charlotte Bobcats. Both should be great games.
Also, outsidephillies had my 300th comment on my blog earlier this week! Thanks for checking out my blog outsidephillies and everyone!!!
